Notes From the Creative Director
April/May
Okay, I'm gonna hit two months here since April was pretty dead for
us. May however, gave us a good start. The UVSC Auto Expo was
great, and there were a lot of hot cars, hot food, and a hot band that
played some of those good old oldies. It was also great to see a lot
of people walking around with the show shirt on that we designed this
year. Trixie Roth even came over to our booth and chatted for a few
minutes. She's a super lady and it was a pleasure to talk shop and
family with her. Ed Roth was such a large influence on me when I
started drawing in the early sixties, so it was exciting for me to talk
with her like you would a friend, rather than just someone behind the
booth.  Shirt sales were good and our new designs seemed to go
over well with the attendees...and the wind wasn't even that bad!
Word is starting to get out about our Your Car On A T-shirt service and
we had a few who signed up at the Auto Expo. We also attended the
Wheeler Farm car show at the end of the month and not only did well
in shirt sales, but we had so many people inquire about our Your Car
On A T-shirt service, that I handed out all the business cards I had and
had to write my contact info down on slips of paper for the last few who
were interested. We received four orders on the spot, and several others
promised to get us photos of their cars so we could do theirs as well.
Since it is a first come first served type of set-up, the people who sign
up at the shows will get their shirts quicker than those who wait.  I'm
already backed up a week, so if you're interested in having your car put
on a t-shirt, see me at the next show and sign up so I can put you on the
list. We'll be at Manti on the 7th and Helper on the 14th. See ya there!

Next month a recap of the busy June schedule we have coming up.

See What's New From The Local Howlie Garage
We decided to print a left chest logo for this year's t-shirts. It reads
"Local Howlie Garage". So we'll be doing most of our shirts like that,
with the print on the back. The designs for our toddler shirts will remain
on the front without the logo. So the next time you're at a car show that
we're a vendor for, come over and see what's coming out of the Local
Howlie Garage!
P.S. You can preview our four new designs below.

Links to Car Club Websites
We're currently soliciting links to car club websites, so if you
would like us to add a link to your website, email: localhowlie@

and include your web address and club logo.

Big Daddy Roth Fans
If any of you are Big Daddy Roth fans, let me know. He started me
on my drawing career and one of my prized possessions is a Rat
Fink poster he personally autographed at a car show I attended before
he passed away. If any of you Fink-heads out there have any similar
memorabilia, drop me an email at
rod@localhowlie.com.

Suggestions Welcome
Suggestions for new t-shirt ideas are welcome. We are always
looking to do the type of designs that you would like to see
on a shirt, the shirt colors you prefer, and sizes, styles, etc.
Please keep in mind however, that we have to weigh out the
appeal of the design for a large number of consumers. It
wouldn't be practical to print a large number of shirts that only
a few would buy. If you have an idea for a great design, email
me- rod@localhowlie.com.
If we use your suggestion, we'll send you a shirt in your
size hot off the press when they are printed at no charge.

Car Show Photo Gallery

Another feature we will include on this site is a picture gallery
of select custom cars photographed at the car shows Rod
attended. We hope to include that feature after each car show
season
for your enjoyment. Just click on the Car Shows button
below and it will take you to the car show index page.

2008 Designs Finalized
After taking everything into consideration, we have decided to
introduce four new designs for 2008. A "Deuce Coupe" design
in four colors, a Toddler design in four colors, a Truck design
featuring a 1940 Ford pickup in black and white, and a Model
A coupe design in black and white. We wanted to do a Corvette
design as well, but unfortunately we weren't able to complete it.
We still may introduce it towards the middle of the year, but if
not, then next year. Here are the new designs:
