Our Experienced Illustrator
Rod, our creative director & chief illustrator, actually began his drawing career
 imitating Ed "Big Daddy" Roth’s style and has been drawing cars ever since high school.
He was an editorial cartoonist for a daily newspaper in California for several years
and had cartoons published in “Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year” from 1991-1994.
He studied graphic arts in college and has been designing t-shirts for over 20 years.
He is an accomplished graphic artist as well, with over 25 years professional experience.

Car Club Logos/Club Designs/Show Designs


We can design your logo or club/show shirt and either send you the artwork or print the shirts for you too.
Keep in mind, if we do the artwork, you get the shirts and screen printing at cost!
The cost for illustration/design work is $30/hr. and a deposit is required.

Monsterize Your Car
Ever wonder what your car would look like if Ed “Big Daddy” Roth drew it? Here is the next best thing!
Get you and your car illustrated and post it in your den, office, or family room for all to see!
Each illustration is done on 14x17” smooth ply bristol board with pen & ink and colored with markers
 with an airbrushed background. The finished art will be a stylized version of you (monsterized) & your car.
The price is $100* and your illustration is guaranteed to be “one-of-a-kind”.
(*A custom illustration like this usually averages 5-6 hours.)

If you would rather have a more realistic drawing of just your vehicle, we can do that too.
We can also put YOUR CAR on a t-shirt. Click on the Apparel Printing button for more details.

Here is how it works:
1. Get a high resolution digital image of your car and you (for a caricature) and indicate the angle you want it drawn,
and any other instructions or details you want to include in the drawing.
Email to: illustration@localhowlie.com.
If you don’t have access to a computer, mail the photos to
Local Howlie, P.O. Box 456, Springville, UT 84663.
Please include a non-refundable deposit of $50.

Note: Backgrounds, scenery, props, etc. are not included in the price.
2. A sketched proof  will be started on receipt of the deposit and emailed or mailed to you when completed.
3. Approve it or suggest changes (only one set of changes is included in the price, more changes after that will be billed at $30/hr.)
4. Once the proof has been approved, final payment will be required.
5. Once final payment has been received, your illustration will be finished and mailed to you.

Keep in mind, if you want more accurate detail, a clear image is needed.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for completion (time will depend on the number of  changes you want and your response time.
